YOU’D GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE SURGERY. TREAT YOUR HOUSE PLANS THE SAME WAY.

Waking Up Mid-Surgery Is Every Patient’s Nightmare!

Realizing design problems mid-construction is no different:

✗ Uncertainty in design replaces precision in building
✗ Onsite modifications undermine confidence
✗ Onsite change can result in unexpected side effects
✗ Onsite changes increase costs and cause time delays

Before you commit to construction, have your architectural plans independently reviewed for:

✓ Best utilization of all spaces – functionality and practicality in each room
✓ Flow of your home – logic to layout, circulation and orientation
✓ Verifying your specialized needs are incorporated into the design
✓ Possibilities for market-related opportunities and resale
✓ Best and feasible construction methods
✓ Ensuring the aesthetic design can be successfully realized in construction – with options for external & internal 3D renders, video and/or interactive model for use by both client & contractors

DON’T LET MISDIAGNOSED PLANS LEAD TO EXPENSIVE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION REGRETS.

FOR A CLEAR DIAGNOSIS, A SECOND OPINION ISN’T JUST HELPFUL – IT’S ESSENTIAL.

A Review Report will help you:

✓ Confirm architectural design assumptions to instil confidence
✓ Various perspectives allow the client alternative options to consider, enabling more informed decisions before construction
✓ Identify overlooked details and practical ideas
✓ Benefit from innovative thinking beyond the original drafted brief

What are your Review options:

  1. A comprehensive written report that the client can review and consider to revert back to his architectural designer for a final informed decision
  2. Additional calculated drawings to carry over recommended suggestions and instructions accurately the original designer
  3. Re-design parts or the whole of the brief
  4. Obtain 3D realization of internal spaces and external aesthetics based on current plans or proposed alternatives with renders, videos and/or interactive model

AN ALTERNATE PERSPECTIVE HELPS MAKE A CLEAR AND CONFIDENT FINAL DECISION.

BEFORE BREAKING GROUND, OR EVEN DURING CONSTRUCTION, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO INVEST IN A THOROUGH, INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF YOUR PLANS.

What can we do to assist you:

The Review Process

When we review your project plans, we work closely with you to understand the design brief and identify opportunities to improve on it. Our process typically follows these steps:

1. Initial Meeting
We start with a meeting to discuss your brief and go through the plans together. If construction has already started, we can also visit the site to review the work completed so far.

2. Plan Analysis & Review Report
We carefully analyse your plans and prepare a documented Review Report. This report includes suggested improvements and alternative ideas, along with the benefits of each proposal.

Our recommendations take several practical factors into account, including:

  • Whether construction has already begun
  • Your available budget
  • Construction and engineering implications
  • Council regulations
  • Electrical, plumbing, and sewer positioning

If required, we can also prepare additional detailed drawings to support any proposed changes. For accuracy, we prefer digital drawing files (DWG format), although PDF files are acceptable.

3. Review Meeting
We meet with you again to go through the report in detail and discuss any further adjustments or ideas.

4. Final Updates
The Review Report is updated based on our discussion. If additional drawings were requested, these are revised accordingly.

5. Final Approval
We meet once more to confirm and approve the final recommendations.

Report Options

Standard

The Review Report outlines our proposed improvements in clear written form. It may also include sketches (hand-drawn or digital), photos, and reference images to help explain the ideas.

This report can be given to your original designer or architect to implement the suggested changes.

Enhanced Option – Detailed Supporting Drawings for you to consider and then choose after receiving the final Review Report.

If you would like more detailed technical guidance, we can provide supporting drawings that clearly convey the calculated details of our proposed changes.

These drawings provide specific and detailed instructions that your original designer can use to update their drawing set.

Should you prefer that we update or redraw the plans ourselves (either partially or entirely), we can provide a quotation once the scope of work has been established.

After the Review

Providing the report (with or without additional drawings) does not automatically appoint us as your architect or interior designer. Any further involvement can be arranged if you wish.

Additional work after the final approval can be agreed upon either:

  • at an hourly rate, or
  • on a project basis.

We can also provide 3D models and photorealistic renderings for architectural or interior design. These can be extremely helpful for visualising the final result and for planning finishes and interior selections before construction progresses. While this service is not always offered by designers, many clients find it invaluable for understanding how the completed home will look and feel.
